Building

We welcome you to the Parents' Council page of the Josef Schwarz School in Erlenbach.
Our new school building in the heart of Heilbronn is inviting and open and combines three types of school. The leitmotif for the development of the campus was the image of a generous, living organism that links indoor and outdoor spaces and can have an inspiring effect on teachers and students. Thus, around three pavilion-like, terraced buildings, a learning landscape with squares and paths, green open spaces, sports fields, terraces and a school garden is developing.

The structural implementation of the new school building follows a future-oriented, holistic approach. From the building idea to the choice of materials, great importance was attached to sustainable factors.
When selecting materials, we pay attention to local availability and climate-friendly processing. Wood, clay, rubber or concrete blocks dominate the interior and exterior spaces.
Our college, located in one of the three structures, also benefits from the location of the new building. It is located within walking distance of Heilbronn's main railway station and the Science Center Experimenta.
Inside, we rely on an innovative room system that combines specialist rooms, quiet spaces and group work options.
